About this show

There are so many styles of rock - and I try each week to bring a selection to your ears. Classics, new releases, lesser heard tracks and more to ease you out of the working day and propel things in the general direction of the weekend.....

Recent Updates - The Thursday TuneUp

Hiccups

Well after a three week break while my son Gareth and the grandsons paid a visit from Oz (naturally, we fitted some music in, it's Hastings after all!) I was back for one hour for one week only - and yep, that instantly didn't feel like a long enough time to get in all the cool tracks I wanted so we're back to two hours of a Thursday, Live at Five this week, with a Thin Lizzy based "Second Hour Special". As you were.

Hot stuff

I'm happy to say I'll be back live on air this Thursday after a little time out for health reasons. Going to be hot work though, the Attic Studio builds up a lot of heat on a sunny day, so be prepared for some background atmosphere provided by seagulls, distant barbecues, and a bit of passing traffic.... Bring it on!

DAB launch day

Exciting times for your favourite station as we go into the local DAB radio era on Saturday May 2nd, and I'm please to be a part of it, with a one-off All UK Rock special at midday. I'm happy to say that we are still going out on the internet too, so my regular listeners from out of town will still be able to enjoy the shows.
