The DAB launch happens on 2 May 2026. We are now in the final countdown, so this page shows exactly how listeners will be able to tune in.
DAB stands for Digital Audio Broadcasting. In everyday terms, it means radio stations are sent digitally instead of the older FM or AM method.
For listeners, that usually means easier station finding, a station name shown on screen instead of just a frequency number, and clearer sound in areas with good coverage, in our case, it will be available in the Hastings Area.
You do not need any technical setup. If you already have a DAB radio in the car or at home, it is usually just a case of doing a scan and selecting Hastings Rock from the list. Do it right now, and you will be ready for our live broadcasts.
Switch your car radio to DAB mode, scan for available stations, and look for Hastings Rock in the station list. Once saved, it should be easy to find again whenever you are on the move. DAB availability will be limited to the Hastings area. Some older car radios might split the list into sections, so just find the one called: Hastings SSBAB, you will find us there.
If your car has station presets, save Hastings Rock so listeners can jump straight to us after the first scan.
On a home DAB radio, select the DAB band and run a full auto-scan. When the scan finishes, choose Hastings Rock from the available stations and save it as a preset if your radio allows. DAB availability will be limited to the Hastings area.
This will be one of the simplest ways for listeners to hear Hastings Rock without needing a phone, app, or computer.
